San Francisco illustrator and fine artist Lisa Congdon was raised in both upstate New York and Northern California where she grew to love the trees and animals that surrounded her and continue to influence her work today.
Creating art brings Lisa tremendous joy - drawing, painting, creating patterns, making things with her hands - and she considers herself lucky to be able to do this for a living. She also enjoys cooking, eating and spending time with her partner, pets and friends. Lisa loves to travel, and the escape of flying on an airplane or sitting on a train always fills her with joyful anticipation.
Lisa is a huge fan of Scandinavian design and has a big collection of mid-century enamel kitchenware from Scandinavia, mostly Catherinholm and Arabia Finel. The collection was featured in Martha Stewart Living in 2011. Scandinavian design and her love of both geometric shapes and natural elements influenced her wallpaper collection.
Lisa has had a life long love affair with surface design and pattern. Designing this collection was a dream for Lisa.
