Olive Grove (Blue) wallpaper plus paint trim color ideas

We’ve been seeing more and more customers choose an accent color from our wallpaper to paint their wood trim and wainscoting. We think this design approach is here to stay (for good reason!) so wanted to share some showstopping wallpaper + paint ideas to help inspire your next project. Above, we adore how Aubrey Hlavaty of Copper and Cotton Design pulled the softest shade of blue from Olive Grove (Blue) for the millwork to create a serene and calming bathroom that is a perfect blend of classic and modern.

All of our paint swatch selections are from Benjamin Moore.

For that extra special finishing touch, Jennie of Jennie Thomas Design pulled the sage color from Butterflies (Parchment) to paint the window and ceiling trim in this beautiful room. The combo ties the flooring to the walls and creates a cohesive and delightful space for doing laundry.

Our friends as Schoolhouse worked with Miller Paint to pair the happiest shade of blue with Cascade Meadow (Primary) in this oh-so-bold and beautiful bathroom design. We also like the idea of pulling the clay or mustard shades for those a little less daring with color.

Torrie chose to pair our Je T'aime Paris (Sage) with matching trim (and vent cover!) to seamlessly tie her daughter's nursery together. It's the perfectly detailed design element that makes the room feel extra special for an extra special little one.

Drawn from the leaves of Cascade Meadow (Midnight), the celadon wainscoting keeps this bathroom at Captain Nickel's Maine feeling cohesive, yet unexpected, and allows the bright white sink and window to stand out too.

Kate of Kate Pearce Vintage chose to play up the terracotta in Alpine Garden Multi (Ebony) to keep her daughter’s room feeling fun but not too juvenile. The painted crown molding serves to frame the wallpaper and really finishes off the space.

Melinda of Hawkes Landing pulled a gorgeous shade of green from Olive Grove (Spruce) to create this inviting guest bedroom. We love how she added trim near the ceiling as well so it frames the pattern.

We hope you find inspiration from these ideas. Don’t be afraid to play around with your wallpaper and paint colors to create a unique and personal statement!
