In Full Bloom: Entryway Before & After
Talk about a transformation! When this Petaluma, CA, farmhouse entryway needed a little life, it was pattern that brought it in spades (or should we say, in blooms!). From bland and boring to anything but, Bloom in Dusty Rose was the perfect solution for bringing a piece of the vibrant farm life indoors.
With its modern floral motif, Bloom teases the abundant wildlife just beyond the space's glass door, and it's poppy colorway is both bold and earthy. White trim and shelving adds a graphic punch to the space, while natural elements like greenery and woven textures keeps the room grounded and reminds you of the lush landscape of your surroundings.
Let's take a look at the BEFORE...
...and AFTER.
Another angle BEFORE...
...and AFTER.
And one more time, BEFORE...
..and AFTER.
We love how this space turned out; what a great testament to the power of pattern!
Important to pattern and colorway selection was tying this entry in with the rest of the home, to create cohesion and flow between the spaces. Above, notice how the color of the wallpaper picks up some of the colors from around the rest of the interior, such as the rug, artwork, etc.
Of course no farmhouse project would be complete without a little four-legged help (well, "help" is a stretch. Maybe close, judgmental supervision?).
And never one to miss an opportunity to appear on #dogsandwallpaper, Otis was on hand for a little photo shoot.
One of our favorite things to do while hanging new wallpaper is to sign the wall before installing. It's a fun way to leave a little surprise for the next homeowner, or a sort of time capsule of memories for yourself if you decide to change things up down the road!
Cheers to Bloom and another successful pattern-filled transformation!
